Frequently Asked Questions

 MADE-TO-ORDER CLOTHING

What does made to order mean?

Made to order means your garment is created after your purchase has been placed. This allows Keehn Atelier to offer a more personal experience while limiting excess inventory and unnecessary material waste.

Each piece receives careful attention throughout its construction and finishing.

How long will my garment take to complete?

Please allow approximately 8 to 10 weeks from the date of purchase for your garment to be completed and prepared for shipping.

Orders requiring custom sizing or modifications may need additional time. If the estimated completion date changes, Keehn Atelier will contact you directly.

Can I choose a different fabric or color?

Yes. Because each garment is made to order, clients may choose from the available fabric and color options offered for that design.

Our Custom Apparel page provides additional information about available fabrics, colors, sizing, and modifications.

What fabrics does Keehn Atelier use?

Keehn Atelier works with natural fabrics selected for their beauty, drape, structure, and enduring quality.

Depending on the garment and season, available materials may include silk wool, duchess satin, silk faille, wool, cashmere, and other fine silks and wools without added synthetic fibers.

Why do available fabrics and colors vary?

Natural fabrics are carefully selected for each design and may be available in limited quantities. Options can vary by garment, season, and material availability.

If a selected fabric or color becomes unavailable after an order is placed, Keehn Atelier will contact you to discuss the available alternatives.

SIZING AND MODIFICATIONS

How do I select the correct size?

Please refer to the Keehn Atelier Size Guide and compare your body measurements with the measurements provided.

If you are between sizes or would like assistance choosing the best size, please contact the Atelier before placing your order.

Are custom sizes available?

Yes. Custom sizing is available for clients whose measurements do not align with one standard size.

For example, a garment may be created to accommodate a size 6 waist and size 8 hip, or vice versa. Half sizes may also be available through a custom order.

Can the length of a garment be changed?

Certain length modifications are available for trousers, blouses, jackets, skirts, and other selected garments.

Available adjustments will depend on the design and construction of the piece. Please review the Custom Apparel page or contact the Atelier before ordering to discuss your preferred length.

Can I request other changes to a design?

Certain sizing and length modifications are available, but not every design element can be changed.

Please contact Keehn Atelier before placing your order to discuss the modification you have in mind. We will confirm whether it can be accommodated while preserving the intended shape and construction of the garment.

GARMENT CARE

How should I care for my Keehn Atelier garment?

Care requirements vary according to the fabric and construction of each piece. Please follow the care instructions provided with your garment.

Fine natural fabrics should be handled thoughtfully and stored in a clean, dry environment. When professional cleaning is required, we recommend choosing a cleaner experienced in caring for fine silks, wools, cashmere, and specialty garments.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

Can made-to-order clothing be returned?

Garments created with custom sizing, special measurements, length adjustments, fabric or color selections, or other personal modifications are Final Sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

We encourage clients to review all measurements, selections, and requested modifications carefully before placing an order.

Can a standard-size garment be exchanged?

A garment purchased in an unmodified standard size may be eligible for exchange. Keehn Atelier does not offer refunds.

The garment must be unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and returned in its original condition with all tags attached.

Please contact Keehn Atelier before returning an item. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted.

Who is responsible for exchange shipping?

Clients are responsible for all shipping expenses associated with an exchange. This includes returning the original garment and shipping the replacement item.

We recommend using an insured shipping service with tracking. Keehn Atelier is not responsible for packages lost or damaged during return shipping.
